This engaging and informative one-day course will introduce you to the world of exporting and importing and focus on the terms and practices used through interactive exercises and activities. This will give you an insight into how goods are bought and sold worldwide.
This is a general introduction to exporting and importing for people who have yet to gain prior knowledge or experience.
It will give an overview of some of the most common international trading areas, such as tariff classification, customs valuation, Incoterms®, and export and import customs requirements.
The course clearly explains basic concepts and terms used in exporting and importing. It comprises practical exercises and activities to enable participants to appreciate some of the most common compliance issues faced by exporting and importing companies.
The course will lead onto our more detailed Import Essentials & Export Essentials courses.
