Advanced Guide to Import, Export & Customs Procedures
The course aims to guide you to a higher standard of compliance with import and export legislation. After attending, delegates will leave with greater confidence in updating/reviewing existing procedures, talking to logistics providers, and explaining complicated issues in a simple way to other business areas.
Description
This practical workshop has been developed for those with experience in International Trade. Its aim is to guide you through the more advanced customs compliance standards and help you understand the legislation surrounding compliance, giving you more confidence when facing an official customs audit.
You will understand the Three Pillars of Customs Compliance and how these impact your business. This will provide you with the knowledge on what to check and how to implement changes within these three pillars.
This practical guide will focus on Classification, Valuation, and Origin and Preference in the required detail to enable you to question whether your business is equipped with the correct procedure knowledge to ensure all available detail is captured and recorded correctly.
Focusing on Customs Special Procedures will give you detailed information on what Inward and Outward Processing is, what Customs Warehouses are, how they operate, and a few others. This section also covers Authorised Economic Operator (AEO), the benefits and pitfalls of using AEO, and whether your business wishes to go to the next level of customs compliance.
Delegates will benefit from attending this interactive course when returning to their working environment. The aim is to enhance their understanding of the issues and instil confidence when talking to freight companies, HMRC, and internally within their role.
