Import Essentials: Focus on Importing
This core S&H training course is an excellent way to learn about importing. It is designed to provide participants with a practical understanding of essential topics, such as Customs procedures and the UK Trade Tariff, as well as implications for choosing the correct shipping term, paying duties and managing the logistics. The aim is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to streamline import operations and work effectively with internal departments and freight forwarders.
Description
Import Essentials offers a solid foundation in import operations. It is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge to comply with HMRC compliance requirements and import regulations, including the UK Trade Tariff and the significance of valuing goods correctly. The implications of using the correct Incoterms® 2020 rules, obtaining the correct certificates to get your goods into the UK, paying duties and managing logistic issues have never been more critical. Furthermore, it will provide in-depth insights into origin and preference, procedure and additional procedure codes, and enable delegates to effectively manage relationships with overseas suppliers, transport companies, banks, and HM Revenue & Customs.
Import Essentials offers a comprehensive overview of crucial subjects, empowering delegates to grasp the import process from start to finish. Once a foundational understanding is established, Strong & Herd provides dedicated courses for those seeking deeper insights into specific topics.
