Description
Advanced Guide to Completing Export Customs Declarations
With the CHIEF system now entirely replaced by the Customs Declaration Service (CDS), this course provides essential information for exporters, importers, and agents navigating this significant change. Delegates will gain detailed insights into the new declarations and the eight separate data element groups.
Each data element group will be thoroughly explained, accompanied by illustrative examples of how these changes impact traders and what the new CDS declarations look like in trader software. The course is fully updated to reflect all changes, using CDS Customs Entry Software screenshots to illustrate the details comprehensively.
By the end of this training session, delegates will not only have a strong understanding of the new system, but also feel knowledgeable and competent in the requirements for making CDS Customs declarations to HMRC.
The software solutions used are solely for illustrating what an entry might look like in trader software. Our technical advisors possess extensive experience with various software solutions for CDS entries and support numerous clients across different platforms. The export entry and the required data elements remain consistent regardless of the software used; the underlying theory of the course remains unchanged. Each session is identical, utilising the same scenarios and providing delegates with the same handouts and workbooks.
Course Structure and Key Topics
The course runs from 10:00 AM to 3.30 PM, including regular breaks.
