This brand-new course has been introduced to meet growing demand for specialist training in the Tariff Classification of food products in chapters 1-24 of the Integrated tariff of the UK that apply to importing Food and drink products.
It explains the regulatory bodies involved, where to apply for Advanced Tariff Rulings(ATaR’s) and non-binding rulings. We will cover a diverse range of food products giving practical examples and tips on how to apply this knowledge across a wide spectrum of chapters. This course looks at both the section and chapter notes and how to interpret the General Interpretive Rules (GIR’s), which will be followed by at least a 2hr practical session with food products to classify in a live situation. This course was originally run for a couple of leading supermarkets with great success and feedback, so by popular demand Strong and Herd have developed this course specifically with food importers/exporters and manufacturers/distributors in mind.
